Tech PRs Dance to Super Mario

With an Inbox that would trump the data deluge, it was high time to head over to the Summer in the City Party at Kings Cross, organised by the phenomenally successful UK Technology Journalists and PRs group and sponsored by NVIDIA. Despite a gloomy, rainy day, by the time the party kicked off the sun was shining, the BBQ sizzling and the drink was flowing.

The organisers had a lot to live up to, after running a similar party earlier in the year. With a DJ, two bars and enough PRs and hacks to fill a small football stadium, the party was rolling in the first 30 minutes of the doors opening, making this event even better than the last. Most amusingly, out of all the tacks playing, it was a rendition of classic retro videogame Super Mario that seemed to be the biggest floor filler. However, the most amusing aspect of the evening was a competitive ‘dance off’ between Lewis, WS, Edelman, and Golin Harris, with a winner still pending announcement. Who says all tech PRs are geeks?
