Chatting London’s Tech City with Boris Johnson

Over the weekend I had the opportunity to chat about London’s Tech City project with candidate for Mayor of London, Boris Johnson. Outside a Costa Coffee shop in East London, the Mayor was promoting his vision for a greater London and one which can be signified in the area known as Silicon Roundabout.

London is "the most important digital ecosystem outside the US", says Boris, and he is correct. With a thriving and world class financial services industry, it is simply ludicrous that our technology startups are still lacking the investment and recognition of which they so badly need.

Already we’ve seen huge investment from several big name firms in this truly innovative part of London, but this isn’t the end, it’s just the beginning and with the right Mayor in place, Tech City has some very exciting times ahead indeed.
