Lords Reform is a Big Issue on the Doorstep

Walk down any street, knock on any door, and you’ll find that the good people of Britain see Reforming the House of Lords as a number one priority in the current economic climate.
But let’s step out of the weird and wacky world of the Coalition Government for one second. Food prices are high, families are struggling to make ends meet, people are losing their jobs and are worried about their future. With this in mind, it’s no wonder there is a huge rebellion from traditional Tories who quite correctly view this bizarre obsession as a distraction from the issues that matter to hardworking people.
In a tough time of spending cuts and uncertainty, it really is crass and arrogant of the Coalition to pursue such a ridiculous side-issue, and one which to this day I have still never heard raised in the doorstep.
